Association between serum levels of pentraxin-3, mannose binding lectin and high sensitivity C-reactive protein with renal transplantation

Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) may increase morbidity and mortality. Therefore, early detection of inflammation in transplant recipients with a high risk rejection is important. Objectives: This study was conducted to compare serum levels pentraxin-3 (PTX-3), mannose binding lectin (MBL) sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) patients chronic renal failure before after transplantation. Patients Methods: cross-sectional carried on 18-80 years old receiving immunosuppressive therapy who underwent transplantation Shahid Beheshti hospital Babol 2016. Before transplantation, one week later two months the PTX-3, MBL hs-CRP were determined. Complications including acute urinary tract infection recorded since inflammatory markers evaluated compared at time complication. Results: The mean age 42.07±12.47 years. Transplant occurred 3 (10%) 4 (13.3%) patients, respectively. over 55 those hypertension had significantly more complications (P=0.03 P=0.02 respectively). Two PTX-3 lower (PTX-3; 10.84±15.88 versus18.75±24.31 ng/dL, P=0.001 MBL; 764.3±771.35 versus 1157.9±1299.75 P=0.006). In complications, 16.73±27.98 710.0±613.19 ng/dL 8.43±12.10 mg/L, No significant difference found between complicated uncomplicated patients. Comparison changes showed following pre-transplantation also it for (PTX-3: P=0.009, respectively; MBL: P=0.006 P=0.03, Conclusion: Based results this study, can be considered determining status prognosis
